The Best of Malls in Charlotte, NC

Published: February 27, 2014

Charlotte is a up and coming southern city in North Carolina. Although there may not be a endless supply of shopping destinations, the malls here cater to all of any shopping maven' needs. If you are looking upscale boutiques or looking to pinch pennies at a outlet mall, this city offers it all. The list below just happens to contain  the largest and most popular among tourists.

  1. SouthPark Mall

SouthPark is located in South Charlotte, and features several upscale designer and department stores such as: Neiman Marcus, Tiffany & Co., Louis Vuitton, Lily Pulitzer and Nordstrom just to name a few. It holds the most designer stores versus any other mall in the Greater Charlotte area. Outside of its 150+ stores SouthPark is nestled among several great restaurants and several locally owned boutiques.

  2. Northlake Mall

Unlike the more upscale feel of SouthPark, Northlake has a mixture of stores that caters to the more money-connscious and those looking to push their budget a little. The range of stores goes from Belk to Michael Kors. Those also looking for a shopping and movie experience, the AMC is placed just outside of the mall doors (they have a great weekly matinee price of $5 bucks before 5:00 p.m.).

  3. Concord Mills

Located in the greater Charlotte Metro area, Concord Mills is the largest shopping destination in both North and South Carolina combined. Concord Mills has over 200 stores. If you can handle a high volume of customers just so you can get the outlet price, this is the mall for you. Helpful hint for this mall I would definitely wear comfortable shoes.

I love all of these malls personally, so it is pretty hard to choose a favvorite. I go to all of them for different reasons of course, because each of these malls gives you a pretty memorable shopping experience. So I'll leave the challenge to the reader to choose a favorite when they are in the area..Happy Shopping!!!
