Published: February 22, 2014

Mixed Media art is a wonderful way to express creativity.  There are some wonderful online teachers who will: help you discover your own style, use resources creativly, develop a creative habbit, and become more confident in your artwork.

  1. Tamara Laporte

    Willowing (Tam's Network)

Tam is a gentle teacher who specializes in teaching faces, coaching those new to mixed media and creating supportive communities.  Below is a project I created in Tam's course.

  2. Jodi Ohl

    Jodi Ohl's Blog

Jodi helps her students become more comfortable with their art supplies and enhances their ability to actually put paint on the canvas.

This is a face I created while in Jodi's course.

  3. Effy Wild

    Effy Wild's Blog

Effy is brilliant at coaching students to develop art as a daily habbit and to be real and raw in their work.

This is an art journal page I created while in Effy's course.

  4. Chris Cozen

    Chris's Blog

I haven't taken an online course from Chris but I love her books.  I find them to be wildly inspiring. Here is a canvas I created with some of Chris' techniques.

  5. Jane Davenport

    Jane's Site

Jane has an illustratorly style and she specializes in teaching faces and the use of stencils.

I have learned so much in each of these wonderful classes.  I encourage all those interested in Mixed Media Art to check into these wonderful, supportive teachers.
