Best Vodka Christmas Drinks

Published: December 6, 2013

Gin tastes like blended up christmas trees and Rum goes nicely in eggnog or hot buttered drinks, so these should be your holiday staples.

But if you have a soft spot in your life for vodka, like me, perhaps you can find a more festive way than strawslurpping your vodka straight from the bottle.  Here are my tips.

  1. Peppermint Vodka.

    This stuff is B-A-N-A-N-A-S.

Pour it libearlly in your coffee or hot chocolate for a festive christmas drink.  Sip under the mistletoe and be merry, until you end up slumped in the archway sobbing at your own lonesome misery.

Cheer up.  It coudl always be worse

  2. Vanilla Vodka with Hazlenut Liquer back

Chasing alcohol with alcohol is always the right choice.  Vanilla vodka is the only sweetly flavored vodka that doesn't taste like vomit and therefore can be versitile enough for your coffee, a diet soda, or a shot.  You can add a dash of grenadine for a festive flair.

  3. Vodka 7-Up Pomegranate

Apparently they only put out 7Up Pomegranate around Christmas time.  Go gobble that shit up, it's delicious with some vodka, and it has antioxidants in it, which won't really do anything at all for you, but you can feel mentally better about your choice.

  4. Bloody Mary

Vodka.  Tomato juice.  Celery.  Red and Green, the epitome of Christmas.  Drink up for Baby Jesus.

  5. Candy Cane Martini

Look, this is stupid easy.  Get a fancy glass.  Lick the edges.  Stick into sugar.  Filll glass full of straight vodka.  Garnish with a candy cane.  Look dapper as fuck as you enjoy the most festive martini of all.  Don't make out with Martha Stewart no matter how much your cocktail skills impress her; she's a convicted felon.

Don't be afraid to get creative!  Everyone loves a good holiday drink, so don't stiff your relatives and pour stingy shots in their cups.
