Best Chain Stores to Shop for New Baby
Whether you are expecting a new bundle of joy or are looking to spoil a new baby, this list is for you! These days there are so many different gizmos and gadgets ranging in price from a few dollars to a few thousand. If you don't want know where to begin, here is a list to at least get you in the right store.
Target is slowly taking over as THE place to create a baby registry. Why? Target has everything that you can find a pricer baby store, even though some may onl be available online. Target also has the advantage of having gifts to parents, older siblings, and other necessities you may not find at a reasonable price at a "Baby Store." Target has most namebrands, organics, and Target brands. Also, Target is much easier for most out of town friend and family to find. They will honor both store and manufacturer coupons and combine them for bigger discounts!
Babies R Us
In some regions, Babies R Us is the store to start at when prepping for baby. This store does seem to have it all and then some. This is a great place to go to touch, feel, and try out many products before you buy. However, most people avoid buying furniture and "big kid" toys here as it is more expensive. Babies R Us does have amaing sales and trade in programs frequently and will send out coupons. They will honor both store and manufacturer coupons and combine them for bigger discounts! You can earn rewards through their loyalty program as well.
Buy Buy Baby
Buy Buy Baby is quickly growing in popularity. It is similar to Babies R Us in layout and availability of products. It feels like Bed, Bath, and Beyond for Babies inside. The staff is very willing to help but at times can appear a bit pushy towards more expensive products. This is a great place to figure out what you want but is on the more expensive side.
The Dollar Tree
The Dollar Tree may seem like an unusal store to be found on this list. This is not the place to pick up clothes or bedding, but it is a great place to find some of the little things: shampoo, lotion, baby medicine, cold packs, and toys. Do not overlook this as a real possibility to fill in some of the needed baby items. This is also a great place to get baby gift bags and cards.
Walmart is everywhere, or at least it seems that way. Walmart's baby prodcuts are of a good, but maybe not great quality. This is a great place to buy formula, wipes, diapers, toys, washclothes, socks, food, formula, dishes, etc. Walmart also carries carseats, cribs, swings, etc. The clothes are inexpensive but may not last as long as other stores' products.
Overall, if you are on a budget but want a comprehensive registry or selection to work from, Target is the way to go. Products avilable at the bigger Baby stores are also available at Target, usually for less. Target also has the plus of being available nationwide or online.
