Best Comedy Shows

I love lounging around on my couch and enjoying TV. My favorite type of TV shows are 30 minute comedies. They are short, sweet, funny and to the point. There will be some classics on the list, but also some newer shows. Sit back, relax and enjoy the show!

  1. I Love Lucy

Who doesn't love Lucy, Ricky, Ethel, Fred and even little Ricky. This show is still funny, 50 years later. Lucy's physical humor is amazing and she is the queen of comedy. The chemistry between here and Ethel is what really made the show. The show was set in New York originally and then they moved to Hollywood and even the countryside. The show remained funny and it's a timeless classic!

  2. The Daily Show with Jon Stewart

The Daily Show with Jon Stewart has been on the air since 1999. It has won several Emmy awards because it's smart, funny and clever. The first half of the segment he goes over topical things in the news with a comedic slant. The second half of the show is an interview with a celebrity.

  3. How I Met Your Mother

How I Met Your Mother has been on for 9 years and tells the story of how Ted Mosby met his wife. He is telling his two children the story how he met their mom. The show will go down in history as one of the best shows ever because it is the story about love, friendship and the great city of New York. The show follows the lives of Ted, Marshall, Lily, Barney and Robin.

Some people say watching TV is a waste of time, I say they aren't watching the right TV shows. TV has the power to heal, bring togther and make people laugh. Three of my favorite shows are I Love Lucy, The Daily Show with Jon Steward and How I Met Your Mother. Classic TV sure to make anyone laugh and sit down and relax for 30 minutes.
