No visit to Winston is complete without a stop at Mary's (the owner) for breakfast. Try their from-scratch menu and indulge in their daily specials. Simply the best.
Bleu Restaurant & Bar - 3425 Frontis St
This joint is your best bet for a romantic dinner in an upscale environment. Don't let the chic fool you, though, this restaurant is quite affordable. It's been described as the "Triad's only five-star restaurant".
Bib's Downtown - 675 W Fifth St
No list of places-to-eat in the South would be complete without a BBQ joint, would it? Bib's slogan is "we're not Eastern or Western, we're Bestern". And they do a good job living up to that boast. Try the ribs and enter BBQ heaven.
Willow's Bistro - 300 S Liberty St #125
One of the hippest restaurants in Winston-Salem. Great for any day of the week, but if you can only eat there once, make sure you make it for Sunday brunch and indulge in their scrumptious offerings. Be sure to get their early or to have a reservation, otherwise you might be waiting there for a while!
For my money, the best place to eat in Winston-Salem is Sweet Potatoes, but if that style is not your favorite, there are many delicious food options in this city. Bon Apetito!
