The Best Bars in East Atlanta

East Atlanta is known for it's unique culture, fantastic food ---and unforgettable venues.  These top ten bars are not only winners because of their fantastic drink selections and service, but also because they enhance the special ambiance of the neighborhood. From hipsters to hippies to young profesisonals, there is a place for everyone. Careful though ---once you go out to one of these hot spots, chances are you'll be back: again, and again, and again!

  1. Wrecking Bar Brewpub

    This famous spot on Moreland Avenue loves to showcase their amazing local beer selection. If you want a beer crafted in Atlanta, stop by and you'll have all the options availiable. It doesn't hurt that the place looks absolutely beautiful ---inside and out. The crew at the Wrecking Bar are phenomenal, another bonus. I have never had such effective service and such a busy establishment.

  2. Joystick

    You know what goes great with beer? Great munchies --- and even greater decades old arcade games. Joystick is a local hangout spot on Edgewood Avenue that gives new meaning to "drinking games." The concept is unique, and the decor is even neater. Bright blues, electric yellows, and a whole venue full of young, sexy geeks...what more could you want?

  3. Church (It's a bar!)

    Where do East Atlanta alcoholics go to worship The Holy Pabst Blue Ribbon? Church (It's a bar!) is  unique concept that features wearable clergy robes, karaoke ...with an organ, and a bunch of hip East Atlanta drinkers who attend "services" every Friday and Saturday night. Located in the hip Edgewood bar district, it's a great spot to start your barhopping.

  4. Estoria 97

    Estoria makes the list not only because of it's six dollar Pabst pitchers, but the memorable Breakfast Burger. Beer, bacon, burger, eggs ---and fries you will never forget: What more could you need?  For fans of fried pickles, the appetizer never disappoints. Try it with their thai chili sauce and a cold brew.

  5. Highland Tap

    The hand crafted cocktails at Highland Tap will have you emptying your wallet for the bartender. Sam Adams seasonals are only three dollars on tuesdays ---and the steak burgers are half off. Tuesdays nights there is only one place you need to be.

  6. Argosy

    Owned by the men who brought MJQ to Atlanta, Argosy is a unique spot with one of the best craft beer selections in the city. Unique to look at, this spot is a great choice for dates and late night drinking.

  7. Clermont Lounge

    Sure, the strippers are a little unusual at this infamous dive bar in Atlanta, but if it's good enough for Samuel L. Jackson and Jennifer Lawrence, they must be doing something right.

  8. The Graveyard

    Known for it's late night crowd of good looking young vampires, this hot spot is great for head banging, alternative music, and strong drinks. As a side note ---it has also been voted many times as the best bar to hook up at.

  9. Euclid Avenue Yacht Club

    Although the clientele seem capable of owning yachts, the only thing these pub crawlers are swiming in in this establishment is stout drinks and tall beers. A local favorite, settled right in the hear tof Little Five Points, the Yacht club boasts great drinks, food, and repeat customers.

    Star Bar boasts the best variety of music in East Atlanta. Like EDM? Come grab a drink and get your dance on here. Rock? Come the next day. Pop? The day after that. Star Bar is a great hangout for trendy guys and gals who love a good show, and breaking it down on the dance floor.
