Best Baby Lotions
I am using my past experience and research into ingredients to provide a list of my best baby lotions.
Virgin Coconut Oil
Coconut oil provides some of the same majic ingredients (lactic acids) as breast milk. It is wonderful for babies with sensitive skin and can be use in a variety of ways - diaper rash ointment, bug bites, a light sun screen etc.
Lush Dream Cream
This thick lux cream includes a wide variety of healing ingredients not typically used in other conventional lotions such as mushrooms. It always heals my baby's extremely dry skin very quickly.
Burt's Bees Diaper Cream
Has a very clean scent and is very thick. Wonderful for barrier protection overnight if your baby is a heavy wetter.
Plum Island Soap Co. Baby Ointment
This thick ointment has few ingredients and is great for babies with sensitive skin, and for mommies that want to stay away from chemicals.
california baby diaper ointment
Works well, but contains some ingredients I don't love. Doesn't smell as nice as some of the others, but is still a better option than many on the market.
VERY thick, great to be used sparingly as a thick barrier cream overnight if you are battling a bad rash. We never use for more than one night at a time since there are lots of ingredients I don't love.
Badger Brand Sunscreen Stick
Our favorite sun screen. Great for faces.
Badger Brand Sunscreen Lotion
Best option for staying natural as possible. Very thick and tricky to apply especially on sandy babies, but we really don't use anything else!
Babyganics baby sunscreen
Wonderful second option for mommies on a budget. Badger can be expensive.
Burt's Bees Milk and Honey Lotion
Not specifically for babies, but smells wonderful and is a nice treat for a bedtime baby massage.
While there are a wide range of great baby lotions, virgin coconut oil is my go-to for everything that ails my babies!
