My Favorite T.V Shows

Published: April 7, 2014

Who doesn’t enjoy sitting down after a hard days work and relaxing in front of the television to watch their favorite show. With online services like Netflix, Hulu and Amazon it’s easy to catch up with the shows that you might’ve missed. So here is a list of my favorite television shows, keep in mind this list is solely based off my own opinion. Attributes that are taking into consideration are popularity, storylines and overall awesomeness.

  1. The Walking Dead

Already on it’s 4th season, it’s easy to figure out what makes this show such a success. With a awesome storyline and a terrific cast this show doesn’t seem like it’ll be slowing down anytime soon. If you are a fan of Zombies or Walkers like they call them in the show, then rest assure this monster of a show will have you hooked from the start.

  2. Dexter

This show is mainly about a serial killer who hunts down other serial killers. Sounds crazy right! Who ever heard of a serial killer with a conscience and a moral code. Dexter Morgan is a smart, sophisticated, trouble man that resides in Miami and works as a blood spatter analyst for the Miami Dade police. After 4 seasons I hated to see this show end but enjoyed watching it again on Netflix in it’s entirety.

  3. The Wire

The Wire is a police drama set on the mean streets of Baltimore. I just loved how this show gave you both sides of the story. Not only did it give you a detail look at undercover work in Baltimore it also went in depth and showed you the street aspect as well. After 5 seasons this show came to a standing ovation ending with 60 episodes under it’s belt. I later went back on Amazon andwatched all 5 seasons all over again with my significant other. She was also surprised how good the show was as well.

  4. Supernatural

Still on television today, this show follows two brothers named Sam and Dean Winchester. Sam and Dean are known as hunters. They hunt just about anything supernatural with a no holds barred attitude. Vampires, Werewolves, Demons, Angels, nobody is safe from the Winchesters. Now on it’s 9th season, we can’t wait to see where the writers of Supernatural will take us next.

  5. Smallville

This story follows a young Clark Kent as he learns to deal with his superhuman powers while juggling school, chores and a social life. Clark Kent of course will later grow up to be the Man of Steel Superman so it’s so much fun to watch him develop into the most iconic superhero of all times. If you never watched this show before, stop what you are doing and go watch all 10 seasons immediately. I guarantee you will not be disappointed with the outcome.

Zombies, serial killers, undercover cops, street dealers, hunters, to superheroes in training, today television shows has a little bit for everybody. With such a huge selection of shows I would love to see how yours match up. Some have some fun, put down the remote and created your own list. I’m sure the people in t.v land have many more ideas that’ll come to life this year, so stay tuned!
