Craziest shows on Cartoon Network

Published: April 7, 2014

I love cartoons. Cartoons has become very different that when I was a kid. There was a time when they were just comedy. You know Bugs Bunny, Tom and Jerry, The Jetsons all comedies meant to enterain children for about 22 minutes. Many still are just excuses to sell toys and other merchandise but they seem so much more than that now. There are so many things for adults to enjoy now.

  1. Courage the Cowardly Dog (1999-2002)

What was even going on with this show? It was seriously messed up. How many kids are in therapy because of watching this show? Did you see the episode about the guy that loved to cut hair? It is some creepy stuff. Eustace, Muriel, and Courage had funny scary adventures.

  2. Secret Mountain Fort Awesome (2011-2012)

What is this crap was my initial reaction to this show. The mosters are really weird looking. I did not appreciate the art direction of this show. I never could "get it" personally. I alway thought is was of poor quality and never understood its worth while it was on the air.

  3. Regular Show (2010- present)

I really enjoy this show and its 80s soundtrack. It is about two 20 something slackers who work in a park. One is a blue jay names Mordecai who is the responsible one and the other is Rigby a lazy rascal of a raccoon that is too high strung. Their boss is a gumball machine with anger issues for crying out. It is a crazy crazy show.

  4. Superjail! (2008 - present)

There are inmates and incompentent warden, a guard who may not be a woman or man, a robot, and aliens. All in this prison that makes no sense. I dont know  but it seems like one long acid trip.!

  5. The Venture Bros.

The Venture Bros is one of my favorites. It is a parody of Jonny Quest. Some characters from Jonny Quest even appear from time to time.

  6. Aqua Teen Hunger Force (2001 - present)

You have the genius Frylock who is a larger order of fries, Master Shake who is a milkshake, and Metwad an idiot little wad of ground beef who can change his shape. At the begining the ATHF seemed to be a detective agency or somekind of super hero squad but that quickly never materialized.

  7. Squidbillies (2005 - present)

This is a show I really do find all that funny. It has a few moments here and there but nothing memorable. The show is about a bunch of squids who live in the backwoods of Georgia. It is a crazy show in my opinion with few redeeming qualities.

  8. Rick and Morty (2013)

Rick, a genius scientist who is an alcoholic and morally bankrupt takes his naive grandson to adventures that are out of this world and beyond our galaxy and even our dimension. The episodes are smart and funny with a slathering of scifi technobabble that really makes laugh . It reminds me of and edgy Star Trek or SG1.

  9. Harvey Birdman Attorney at Law

This show had a lot going for it. There  were many guest appearance by Hanna Barbara cartoon characters like The Flintsones, Jonny Quest, and many others. When the Cartoon Network was a new network I first watched Birdman, I always thought he was a cheap knockoff of Space Ghost. He even had a sidekick.,_Attorney_at_Law

  10. Space Ghost Coast to Coast (2004 - 2008)

Space Ghost being turned in to a famous talk show host was brilliant. the guest wouldnt always say anything coherent but neither did Space Ghost or his cohorts like Brak.

I know a lot of these shows are from adult swim. Adult Swim seems more open to experimentation that their primetime block. Seriously if you havent been able to watch Rick and Morty you really should check it out. It has made me laugh out loud more than once. I think it is high quality.
